I'm a journalist and comedy writer based in New York City. According to Bill O'Reilly, I write for morons.
My work has been published in Cosmopolitan.com, Salon, HelloGiggles, IndieWire, Gawker, ANIMALNewYork, Someecards and CollegeHumor. I write about race, gender, pop culture and politics. I have covered the Sundance Film Festival, interviewed First Lady Michelle Obama on her first solo trip to the Middle East and traveled to Jordan to report on the refugee crisis. In 2014, Mediaite named me one of the "absolute best names in media" mostly because they agree that "Prachi" is a super cool name.
Prior to embarking on a writing career, I worked at a management consulting firm. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009 with degrees in finance and English writing.
My hobbies include running, painting and looking up movie references because I never, ever remember them.
